Minute 1: Prints in the Wild
Sony Alpha and the Next Generation of Photographers
SONY ALPHA hosted a 3-day photography workshop in Los Angeles for the next generation of photographers. This group of students explored their skills through networking, shooting, and post processing with preparation for PRINT. We are proud to have provided these talented students with professional quality Photographic Prints with Gatorfoam Mounts in order to set the bar high for their presentation.
Minute 2: From Darkroom to Digital
Gabriel Biderman Preserves His Art With Xpozer
National Parks at Night Co-Founder, GABRIEL BIDERMAN reproduced a 40x50" darkroom print that he captured in 1998, on a 40x60" Xpozer! He hand printed his "Monster Garden" image from his travels in Europe with his then-girlfriend, now-wife, Nancy. The original image was taken with the Mamiya CC220 camera and Kodak TriX 120 B&W film. The display was made with two 1/4" thick, 50x60" plexi-glass boards to sandwich the print. Over 20lbs, Gabriel decided it was time to update this display to something more lightweight. He re-edited the digital file, cleaning up imperfections and massaging the tonal range from the old negative.
"Thank you Bay Photo Lab, for helping us preserve and re-interpret our memories so that we can effortlessly celebrate them on our walls!"
- Nancy Bartlett & Gabriel Biderman
