Message from ROES: "Only JPEG and in some configurations TIFF can be placed in an order..."

In Bay ROES, if an image file is dragged into a product preview and the following message is displayed:



the file format and/or the color space embedded is not compatible with Bay ROES.

The most common causes of this error are as follows:

• PDF format has been used
• Non-RGB color space is embedded
• JPG image has 'Progressive' encoding (if JPG file has been saved using Photoshop)
• JPG is not 8-bit
• TIFF image has pixel order set to 'Per Channel'

However, if all of those conditions have been met, it may be possible that creating copies of those files using the 'Save As' function in Photoshop, or re-exporting the images through Lightroom or the Photos app on Mac OS, will prevent the issue from occurring.

Please refer to our file format guidelines page for the file types we can accept. Please make sure your files are saved or exported with those conditions in order to avoid issues with ordering, and delays in production.
