We’re transitioning to a new version of Bay ROES that will allow us to better expand our product offerings in the future, and bring you a more simplified ordering experience.
If you have saved Favorites in Bay ROES Pro or Bay ROES Economy, you will need to migrate these to the new version to continue to be able to use them.
Instructions for Windows Users
Step 1:
If you haven’t already done so, launch the new version of Bay ROES from our website here. The new version can be easily identified by this icon on your computer:
Step 2:
Quit ALL versions of Bay ROES that may be open on your computer.
Step 3:
Navigate to the application folder for the version of Bay ROES that you have Favorites saved in.
Note: Replace USERNAME with your actual username for your computer.
For the “Pro” version, navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\.BayPhoto
For the “Economy” version, navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\.BayPhotoEconomy
Next, open a separate file browser window and navigate to the application folder for the new version of Bay ROES at C:\Users\USERNAME\.BayPhotoLab
Step 4:
Copy your Favorites into the new version of Bay ROES.
In the .BayPhoto OR .BayPhotoEconomy folder, select the file called mytemplates.xml.enc and and hold down the control key to copy while you drag it into the .BayPhotoLab folder
Note: if there is no mytemplates.xml.enc folder, you have no saved Favorites! You’re free to use the new version of Bay ROES to create your Favorites from now on.
If you get an alert that the file already exists, click Replace the file in the destination
Close the folders and open the new version of Bay ROES.
Your Favorites should now be available to use in the new version.
Instructions for Mac Users
Step 1:
If you haven’t already done so, launch the new version of Bay ROES from our website here. The new version can be easily identified by this icon on your computer:
Step 2:
Quit ALL versions of Bay ROES that may be open on your computer.
Step 3:
Navigate to the application folder for the version of Bay ROES that you have Favorites saved in.
Choose Finder > Go > Go to Folder
In the “Go to the folder” dialog window, type ~/.BayPhoto for the “Pro” version OR ~/.BayPhotoEconomy if you have been using the “Economy” version and click “Go”
Next, navigate to the application folder for the new version of Bay ROES
Choose Finder > File > New Finder Window or type ⌘+N to open a new Finder window, while leaving the current Bay Photo Application window open
Choose Finder > Go > Go to Folder
In the “Go to the folder” dialog window, this time you’ll type ~/.BayPhotoLab and click “Go”
Step 4:
Copy your Favorites into the new version of Bay ROES.
In the .BayPhoto OR .BayPhotoEconomy folder, select the file called mytemplates.xml.enc and and hold down the option key to copy while you drag it into the .BayPhotoLab folder
Note: if there is no mytemplates.xml.enc folder, you have no saved Favorites! You’re free to use the new version of Bay ROES to create your Favorites from now on.
If you get an alert that the file already exists, click Replace
Close the folders and open the new version of Bay ROES.
Your Favorites should now be available to use in the new version.
Troubleshooting (Win or Mac)
In some cases, the products in the Favorites may have changed locations or names and will need to be reconfigured.

- Your Bay Photo account number
- Your phone number and the best time(s) and to reach you
- Include your mytemplates.xml.enc file as an attachment
